DARKHORSE Battalion
DARKHORSE The City of Laguna Hills adopted the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, of the 1st Marine Division. This infantry battalion, nicknamed "DARKHORSE" is based out of Camp Pendleton. The City of Laguna Hills intends to donate $3 per race participant to the 3/5 Support Committee.

South County Outreach

The City of Laguna Hills and South County Outreach will be partnering in a Food Drive over the Memorial Day Weekend. Race participants and spectators are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items which will benefit South County Outreach.BJ's Collection stations will be available at the race start line and the community expo on May 28th and at the Road Runner Sports, Laguna Hills during registration and pre-race packet pick up on Saturday, May 26th and Sunday, May 27th from noon – 4:00pm both days. South County Outreach is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping low-income families, seniors and individuals in crisis. Services include food distribution (up to one week a month of groceries), rental and utility assistance, computer training, clothing vouchers and financial coaching. SCO's goal is not only to provide emergency services but to provide the tools to help people help themselves.

BJ's Don't forget to pop some extra cash in your pocket before you start your race on Memorial Day. You'll want to swing by the BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse Beer Garden at the Laguna Hills Community Center. For $10 you'll get 2 beers and some post race snacks. Proceeds go the South County Outreach.
